I am back from an amazing weekend in my favourite place, Tora. (see previous post on a weekend spent in Tora)  Lucas and I have made a connections out there with the beautiful people who run the Tora Coastal Walk, who, I might add, have the most picturesque and dreamy life ever out there. We visit them when we can. This weekend my friend Sofia and I decided to let our creative flow get the better of us and do a lil styled photo shoot. Having absolutely LOVED this process and found a new obsession for fashion photography and styling, I really wanted to share what we did.

Our initial idea was to take images in the neighbours uninhabited old farm house which has an nostalgic, wallpapered, super The Shining vibe, but after talking to various people on the property we realised the new shepherd had moved in (urghh!) so this wasn’t going to be possible. His wife showed us round though, and the old farm house is definitely one for the shoot bucket list. Anyway, the whole Tora area is so beautiful it wasn’t hard to scout new locations.

The vision became whimsical, dreamy and introspective with a dual focus on both the beauty of the natural estuary, as well as Sofia’s amazing charisma. We based the styling on the tones and features of the landscape. I like the idea that she is remembering a time somewhere far from home and seeing snapshots of herself in reflective moments.

This was SO SO fun and I am happy with the results so I wanted to share. Seriously, if anyone wants to do shoots like this, hit me up, I am super keen to do some styling and photography. I wish I could direct you for where to find my beauty Sofia online but she doesn’t have any profile (she should though, and a modelling contract too) Anyway, watch this space for more. Also, let me know what you think.
