I won’t claim to be super qualified to write this post, however, fresh from Burger Wellington, I thought it would be a good time to talk about where you can get a great burger all year round. Often I order the veggie option but have asked around and the meats are commended too. So, without further ado – here are the Top 5 best burgers in Wellington. (In my humble opinion)

Top 5 BYO Restaurants in Wellington
Gorilla Burger is the burger spot everyone is raving about at the moment. Lucas thinks it’s the best ever and I have to admit that it is pretty tasty. I was a big fan of the beet burger and he always goes for the classic. With locations all over Wellington, there is always a convenient one to fill your burger cravings quickly!
7 Leeds Street, Te Aro | 19 Park Road, Miramar
You won’t miss Wellington institution Ekim Burger at the corner of Cuba Street and Abel Smith Street as the venue happens to be a bus. It”s perfect on a sunny lunchtime. Their burgers are top-notch and huge so not to be missed. The chips are also to die for!

This might be a bit of a little insider’s tip – the burgers at Parrot Dog Brewery in Lyall Bay, are so good! The classic and the veggie taste exactly like a very classy McDonald’s burger. Also, the vibe of P-Dog is just the best way to while away a Saturday afternoon.
60/66 Kingsford Smith Street, Lyall Bay
The Laundry bar is one of the first spots I grabbed a burger when I moved to Wellington and it has stuck with me as being one of the best. They won the 2016 Burger Wellington for their Sumatran Streak Burger which is still on the menu. There are also classic, vegetarian, chicken, pork options and it is super reasonably priced.
240 Cuba Street
New kid on the block rogue burger has got people talking.They pride themselves in believing in the basics and they do it well with their soft buns, juicy meat and classic toppings, Rogue is deffo on the list for one of the best burgers in Wellington
No.101 The Terrace, Wellington, 6011.
